My favorite soaps have a beef tallow base, a creamy lather, and a scent that makes me think of great family moments. I prefer straight cuts over wavy, and I enjoy keeping part of a batch it’s natural color and swirling in a second shade to add a bit of character…though there is certainly charm in solid colored soaps as well! I keep my shower bar in a mesh “soap saver” bag, and I use an exfoliating sponge and wine-based soap for my face. The thing I enjoy more than all of the rest is finding the perfect soap for someone I love. There’s nothing better than knowing that something I made with my own hands is exactly what one of my family members was looking for.
