Emma and her sister Ruth grew up next door — the girls Trinity Grace and her siblings ran across the yard to find, through childhood and into adulthood. Even now, with everyone grown, Ruth and Emma still make that trip across the backyard now and then. They are honorary family, in the truest sense.

Emma has been one of Sudzy Mama's biggest supporters from the start. And she doesn’t just cheer from the sidelines — she’s the one who handcrafts the 100% cotton soap saver bags you’ll find in the shop. Every stitch is hers.

Her soap carries a scent as layered and lovely as she is: Black Amber & Lavender. It opens with lavender, crisp greens, and clary sage, deepens into black amber and black myrrh, then settles into a warm base of Egyptian musk, vanilla, and tonka bean. Sophisticated and grounding, with a quiet boldness that lingers beautifully on skin.

A note on vanillin: The fragrance contains vanillin, which may gradually darken the bar’s exterior over time. Every bar ages a little differently — just like the people we love.
