Rosco knew what he wanted: a man's charcoal soap. He just didn't know what it would smell like yet.

So he paid for three bars in advance — no fragrance chosen, no sample sniffed — and simply trusted that Sudzy Mama would find something he'd like. The hunt was on. What she found was a scent so good it didn't just satisfy Rosco. It became one of the most popular fragrances in the lineup, and eventually inspired a matching beard balm.

Rosco opens with zesty lemon and bergamot, moves into iris and vetiver, and settles into a deep, grounding base of amber, teakwood, coffee beans, musk, cedar, and leather. Bold without being loud. Complex without being fussy. Exactly what a man's soap should be.

The bar is as striking as the scent — deep black from activated charcoal, swirled with golden hues. And at the heart of the formula is beef tallow rendered from fat sourced locally at Garrison Valley Farms — the same tallow that goes into every Sudzy Mama product.
