Ed Rehomed

In the summer of 2025, a zebra made headlines in Murfreesboro.

He'd been brought to his new home, but the moment the trailer door opened, he had other plans. For nearly a week, he roamed free — a black-and-white blur of pure, unbothered freedom — while the whole community watched, cheered, and collectively named him Ed. The story even caught national attention. Ed, it turned out, was kind of a big deal.

We were inspired. We had a bold eucalyptus and cotton fragrance we'd been wanting to use, and it seemed like the perfect scent for a footloose, fancy-free zebra. So we made Ed — a soap as wild and confident as his namesake.

There was just one problem: Ed was a lot. The eucalyptus was bold. Maybe too bold. Customers appreciated the story, but the scent wasn't winning hearts.

So we did what any good neighbor would do — we found Ed a better home. We cut up the original batch and worked it into a fresh pour of lavender soap. The lavender did exactly what lavender does: it softened the edges, mellowed the eucalyptus into something fresh and outdoorsy, and turned a bold experiment into a fragrance people actually love.

The original Ed became Ed Rehomed. And just like the real zebra, he found his place in the end.
