Liz After the Rain Sugar Scrub
Some people come into your family through blood. Others arrive through decades of showing up — and never really leave.
Liz is Sudzy Mama's great-aunt — her grandfather's sister, and a lifelong friend to Fran (her grandmother's sister). They weren't related by blood, but they were bound by something just as strong: a lifetime of birthdays, holidays, and looking out for the people they loved. They were always together. Always there.
Liz was an artist. She did chalk art shows — drawing scenes by hand while a recorded story played in the background. When she finished, she'd flip on a blacklight, and the artwork would transform into something luminous. A masterpiece that brought the story to life in ways no one expected. Watching her was one of those childhood memories that stays with you.
This scrub carries her name and her fragrance — After the Rain. Fresh, clean, and quietly beautiful. The kind of scent that surprises you, like a blacklight moment in a bottle.
The formula starts with shredding our most gentle bar soap, Esther, made with beef and lard only — free from all dyes and fragrances. We layer in white sugar and pink Himalayan salt for gentle exfoliation. As you work it into skin, exfoliation shifts to gentle cleansing as the soap begins to lather. Sweet almond oil, shea butter, and pure beef tallow round out the formula, leaving a light tallow finish that helps skin stay hydrated long after you rinse.
The result: skin that's been buffed, cleansed, and quietly nourished — all in one step.
Best for body use in the shower. Pair with Kallie soap and Belle whipped tallow for the full experience.
